Giving Programs - Wonderland homes Partners with Habitat for Humanity and the Denver Home Builders Foundation
2007 - Wonderland Remodels the Sarah Taylor Home for Last Christmas 2006, Sarah Taylor, a bright vivacious seventeen year old, had a stroke, and a few days later suffered a heart attack in the hospital. Nancy, Sarah's mother, was determined to bring her daughter home to convalesce, but their house which was built in the 1950's was not suitable for a handicapped person. Nancy then contacted the Home Builders Foundation and sought Cindy Hoover’s help in converting two bedrooms into one bedroom/therapy room, and making the small bathroom wheelchair accessible. At Cindy’s request Wonderland Homes took on the project. For photos and to read more about the story click here. 2006 - Wonderland Homes Partners with Habitat for Humanity
The 2006 building project for Habitat for Humanity was a huge success. Wonderland Homes was proud to have been one of fifteen builders to build fifteen homes in one week at Tollgate Crossing in Aurora. It was a crazy, busy week, but a good time was had by all. Attached is the brochure from the Builders Blitz with the list of participants, home recipients and schedule. You can visit www.habitat.org for current events and builds.
